Hold, release, and build the next stretch of the journey! Penguin TAB is a casual game about adjusting a stick's length to bridge the gap between platforms. Keep the screen pressed to extend the stick, then release when you think it will reach the next landing area.
The action is simple, but one length will not work for every crossing. Judge both the distance to the next platform and its width, making the bridge long enough to reach without extending past the far edge. Watch the little penguin cross the result of your decision, then prepare for the next gap.
How to Play
- Select the play button and inspect the edge of your current platform and the next platform ahead. Identify the range where the stick's tip needs to land.
- Press and hold the screen to make the stick grow. Holding for longer produces a longer bridge.
- Release when you think the length is right. The upright stick lowers forward to form a path across the gap.
- If its end lands on the next platform, the character can cross. Avoid a stick that is too short to reach or so long that it extends beyond the platform.
- A successful crossing increases your score and reveals another section. Recheck the new gap and platform width before adjusting the next stick.
- When the attempt ends, review SCORE and BEST SCORE and try again. Remember whether the previous bridge was too long or too short as you refine your next choice.
Look at the Landing Range, Not Only the Gap
Judging only the empty space can make the release point harder to choose. Look at both the near and far edges of the destination. Imagine the interval in which the tip can safely finish, then try to keep the bridge within that range.
A wider platform gives a visibly broader landing area, while a narrow one calls for finer control. Making the stick longer is not automatically safer. Even a nearby platform can be missed if the bridge continues beyond its far edge.
Learn How Holding Time Becomes Length
Begin by observing how quickly the stick extends. Comparing a short hold with a slightly longer one gives you a useful reference for the next attempt. A small change in input duration can change the result even though the control itself is very simple.
That successful duration is a reference, not a fixed answer. A closer platform needs less length, while a farther platform needs more. Combine what you learned from the previous bridge with a fresh look at the current arrangement.
Watch Your Decision Become a Crossing
Once you release, the important length choice has already been made. Watch the stick lower and the character follow the route to see how well your estimate worked. The brief pause between release and the result gives each bridge its small moment of anticipation.
A failed attempt can also provide useful information. If the bridge falls short, notice how much distance is missing. If it overshoots, compare the tip with the far edge. Remembering that difference is more helpful than immediately repeating the same hold without adjustment.
Against waterside scenery and drifting clouds, make a path for the little penguin one gap at a time. No complicated movement commands are needed—just attention to distance, length, and the moment of release. Place the next bridge carefully and see whether Penguin TAB can take you one platform farther than before!
