One, two—merge the numbers and throw a punch! Merge Boxing combines a number-block puzzle with a boxing match. Tap a block to raise its value, connect matching numbers, and turn successful merges into action in the ring. Planning the next connection and watching the fighters respond become parts of the same challenge.
Before tapping, consider what will connect after the number increases. A move that creates no merge consumes SP, while a growing combo can restore SP or damage your opponent. Read the board, build a sequence, and make the most of the time remaining in the match.
How to Play
- Select MATCH PLAY. Once the match is ready, examine the number board below the fighters. The upper part of the screen shows the bout and its remaining time.
- Tap or click a numbered block to increase its value by one. Look for a choice that will match the numbers around it after the increase.
- Three or more connected blocks with the same number merge, increasing the resulting block's value by one again. Check the new value and the surrounding arrangement for another possible merge.
- If your tap does not connect at least three matching blocks, you lose 100 SP. Avoid raising numbers without checking whether they can form a group.
- Use combo effects: at 3, 13, 23, and so on, you recover 100 SP. At 5, 15, 25, and so on, the opponent takes 100 damage; at 10, 20, 30, and so on, the damage is 200.
- Reaching zero SP leaves you stunned for three seconds. Watch both SP and the match timer as you keep merging and work toward knocking out the opponent.
Imagine the Number After Your Tap
You are not simply looking for numbers that already match. You need to find a block that will match its neighbors when its value rises by one. A 3 positioned between 4s, for example, can become the starting point of a merge when you tap it.
Look vertically as well as horizontally. After a merge, spaces refill and the arrangement changes, so a position that was useful for the last move may not offer the same opportunity again. Reassess the visible board before making the next choice.
Think Beyond the First Merge
A merge produces a higher number that may connect with another nearby group. Consider the value that will be created, not just the blocks that will disappear. That extra step of planning can reveal a chance to build a longer combo.
Let a chain resolve before choosing your next block. Compare the new pieces with those that remain and search for opportunities that were not present a moment earlier. Watching one deliberate tap trigger several changes is a central part of Merge Boxing's appeal.
Protect SP and Prepare an Attack
Taps without a merge reduce SP, making random increases costly. Find reliable combinations first and use them to build toward the next combo effect. When your SP is low, checking for a valid move is more useful than responding with hurried taps.
Knowing which combo counts restore SP and which deal damage also helps you understand the rhythm of the fight. Follow the progress display beneath the puzzle along with your SP, then turn a good numerical choice into an effective punch.
The opening screen records wins, losses, draws, and win rate. Use each match to set a practical goal for the next one: identify merges sooner, waste less SP, or read a chain more clearly. Step into the ring and see what your next combination can do!
