Gather your spirits and defend the World Tree
Spirit Guardians is a defense game about summoning elemental spirits with mana and placing them beside the routes used by incoming monsters. Build a defense around the World Tree, discover how your spirits fit together, and turn a collection of small guardians into a stronger fighting force.
Summoning is only the beginning. Where you place a spirit matters, and watching the enemy route can be just as useful as preparing another unit. Read the battlefield, check attack coverage, and adjust your plan as the action unfolds.
A new spirit, a new decision
Summoning produces basic spirits with different elements at random. Each arrival gives you something new to work with: a guardian to place now or a possible part of your plans for a stronger defense.
Spirits occupy designated pads around the battlefield. Look at the paths beside each pad before choosing a position. A spot near an early approach serves a different purpose from one closer to the World Tree.
How to play
- Enter a battle and locate the World Tree. Follow the monster route shown by the game so you understand where enemies will travel and which areas need protection.
- Check your available mana and the displayed summoning cost. Summon a spirit, then consider how it fits into the defense you already have.
- Drag a spirit from the waiting area onto an empty battlefield pad. Choose a position beside the route where it can contribute to stopping approaching monsters.
- Select a placed spirit to inspect its attack range and the information or enhancement controls. Move it to another pad when a different position better suits your plan.
- Start the wave when you are ready. Watch the monsters advance and see which sections of the route your spirits can cover.
- Develop your defense through additional summons, spirit combinations, and placement changes. Work with the spirits and mana available to you while keeping the World Tree protected.
Read the whole route
Do not judge a position only by how close it is to the first enemy entrance. Follow the path through its bends and consider the final approach to the tree as well.
Concentrating your spirits in one area can focus your attacks, but it may also leave another section lightly defended. Think about where a monster that passes your first line will meet resistance next.
The range display helps turn a rough idea into a practical placement. Select a spirit and check which parts of the path fall inside its coverage before deciding that a particular pad is the right one.
Grow stronger through combinations
Spirits can be combined to create stronger spirits. Summoning and combining form a connected loop: gather basic guardians, consider your options, and develop the force you bring to each encounter.
Follow the combination instructions and conditions displayed in the game. Alongside your goal of making a stronger spirit, keep an eye on whether the battlefield still has the coverage you need.
Mana also makes preparation a matter of priorities. Before another summon, look at the spirits you already have, the spaces available, and the cost shown on the button. A clear plan makes each choice easier to evaluate.
A defense you can rearrange
Placed spirits can be relocated. If the first arrangement does not cover the route as expected, move a guardian and observe how the new position changes the battle.
Watching is part of playing. Notice where monsters meet your attacks and where gaps appear, then use those observations to improve the next arrangement. Small placement decisions can give your defense a clearer purpose.
Protect the tree, then face the next challenge
Learn the rhythm of summoning, placement, and combinations as you work through the stages. After clearing the available battles, take on stronger trials and put your understanding of the spirits to use.
From the first small guardian to a carefully arranged defense, Spirit Guardians invites you to build your own answer to each approaching wave. Check your mana, study the route, and give the World Tree the protection it needs.
